Underground (The Metro ~ Moscow)

When the Moscow metro was built it was designed so as to embody svet (radiance or brilliance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future). Thid was because it was going to be used by the common people and it should lift their spirits

The amount of marble used and decorations in each station is amazing.

Have to say the public transport system in Moscow great as we picked up a three day ticket that gave unlimited use metro, buses, trams and light rail for 12 dollars each. Suffice to say we got our money's worth.
